This project is a favourite of mine as I had the opportunity to collaborate with the amazingly talented Dublin illustrator and designer, Steve McCarthy. I was tasked with conceptualising and designing some in-store theatre that would give Jameson’s limited edition bottle that WOW factor in the retail space.
The creative process started off with some rough sketches I drafted, based around the beautifully intricate label Steve had designed. Once a sketch was confirmed, I liaised with structural engineers to select the right materials and create a bespoke engineered drawing. This then led to the final design, where I created a high-end 3D render, before we sent the final product to store.
The display won the 2017 POPAI UK & Ireland Award in the Best Short Run, Temporary Display category—a first for both Jameson and Irish Distillers.
